I climbed upon the bosses bike, When I went to work one day, He left it there for me to ride, So I wouldn’t go astray. It’s nowhere near as good as mine, Cause it doesn’t have a clue, The things that I need from it, And just what I want to do. I went about his business, That is how I must behave, Doing all the bloody work, Cause he thinks I am his slave. It kept me out of trouble, To give the bike it’s due, Until I went across a bridge, That’s what I went to do. I tried to drive up off the bridge, And it slid off to the side, With thoughts that I’m now walking, I very nearly cried. I pushed and pulled and kicked it, I sure was in the poo, And said some very tricky words, That’s just what I had to do. Eventually I told him, His bike was in the shit, And it wasn't any fault of mine, That there, it had to sit. He came down to the rescue, Fast cause it is quite new, He came down to the rescue, That’s what he came to do. “My bike got up there yesterday”, I told him with a grin, “But the thing I really want to do, Is throw your one in the bin”.
The Bosses Bike
But my bike is in the workshop, The oil change was due, So the bosses bike was the one, With which I did make do. But what does really irk me, What really gets my goat, Was when he climbed aboard it, And said to me, “Take note”. “There’s a switch upon the dashboard, To go to four wheel drive from two, Perhaps you should have tried it”, Well that’s what I was going to do. He drove it up without a fuss, While I shrank into the ground, My towrope rendered useless, I didn’t make a sound. He looked at me quite oddly, Like he thought I’d had a few, But the bottle wasn’t touched, That’s what I wouldn’t do. Then he started talking of, The egg upon my face, Harassing me just because, One switch was out of place. I’m sure he thinks I’m stupid, That I haven’t got a clue, But that switch upon the dashboard, Was the next thing I would do. A Shepherd
